OMEGA PHI BETA
SORORITY, INcoporated
| STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY |
HERSTORY
The Collective at Stevens Institute of Technology was founded in the Spring of 2016 with the desire to bring a multicultural sorority onto campus. Our founding class, Komorebi, consists of 7 Radiant womxn of 7 diverse ethnicities: Glen Anna Abellana (Filipina), Stephanie Sayegh (Jordanian), Natalie Correa (Dominican/Puerto Rican), Soany Heredia (Dominican), Natalie Pertuz (Colombian), Lakeisha Ordoñez (Colombian), Tatiana Rosales (Mexican/American).
Together these womxn worked hard to establish a community that would strengthen the representation of minority womxn in STEM fields as well as positions of power. Warmly welcomed by the Greek community, the Stevens collective of OPBSI thrived as the only female addition to the Multicultural Greek Council. The diversity of our members is not only limited to our ethnicities but also to the various characteristics and talents that we bring as individuals that come together as a unit to make Omega Phi Beta a successful, prosperous and advancing organization
Under the guidance of Elizabeth Cano (Nu Chapter) and Lauren Palma (Upsilon Chapter) OPBSI was able to establish their fourth collegiate entity within the state of New Jersey: The Collective at Stevens Institute of Technology.

Through hard work and dedication, on January 13, 2018, the collective at Stevens Institute of Technology became charted as Beta Upsilon.
